What ChatGPT is good for here
ChatGPT is the easiest way in: you describe a small game in chat and it returns a single HTML file you can open straight away. That fits quick, self-contained games like a falling-block puzzle, a memory grid or a typing test. For anything bigger it runs out of room, and creators move to an agent that can work inside a project.
What Codex adds
Codex works more like a colleague with a terminal: it reads files, writes them, runs checks and reports back. We use it to build every game on this site, then test the result ourselves in a browser. Our chess game, for example, was verified against the standard move-count tests chess programmers use before we published it.
